Texas: Things to Do and See

Things to See in San Antonio
  1. The Alamo: The original name of this place is Mission San Antonio de Valero, the Alamo. This place served as home to missionaries and their Indian converts for almost seventy years. This place is famous for the ‘Battle of the Alamo’. The battle lasted about 13 days (February 23 to March 6, 1836). This educational museum provides knowledge about the important role it played in Texas' effort for freedom. Due to this reason, millions of tourists visit this place each year. Another important reason is that, it is free of cost. There is no fee at all for visiting this place.
Other Things to See in Texas

When you are here make sure to bring your own can of spray paint so you can make your mark on the Caddies. Don't forget to take a bunch of photo ops too.
  2. The Big Texan Steakhouse: The restaurant has all the Western design cues of the classic Southwest to entertain you and a 72-ounce steak as the marquee dish on the menu.
  3. Houston Zoo: Noted for its more than 6,000 animals of more than 900 species, the it's expansive collection of wildlife attracts almost two million visitors annually. The zoo goes beyond animal habitats and education with an emphasis on fun for the whole family, with attractions such as the Wildlife Carousel and the Kathrine McGovern Water Play Park, a 13,500-square-foot water-filled fun zone.
